Abhyanga Snana is a traditional Ayurvedic full-body oil massage therapy used as a preparatory treatment in Panchakarma. Performed with warm herbal oils and synchronized massage techniques, it helps relax the body, improve circulation, relieve stress, and rejuvenate the mind and body. Widely practiced in the Kerala Ayurvedic tradition, it is beneficial for general wellness, muscle relaxation, and postnatal care
Dhara is a traditional Kerala Ayurvedic therapy in which a continuous stream of warm medicated oil, herbal decoction, milk, or buttermilk is gently poured onto the forehead for 45 to 90 minutes. This deeply relaxing treatment calms the mind and revitalizes the nervous system, often creating a peaceful trance-like state. Shirodhara is usually performed after Abhyangam for enhanced benefits and can be customized according to the Dosha condition. It is commonly used to help with stress, insomnia, sinusitis, memory loss, neurological disorders, vertigo, and certain skin diseases. Research also suggests that Shirodhara may improve blood circulation and oxygen supply to the brain.


Shirovasthi is an important Ayurvedic oil therapy in which lukewarm medicated herbal oil is retained on the head using a special cap for 15 to 60 minutes over several days. This treatment is highly beneficial for conditions caused by Vata imbalance, including severe headaches, facial paralysis, dryness of the nose and throat, and burning sensations in the head. The warm oil deeply nourishes the nervous system and improves circulation. It is also considered effective for neuralgia, deafness, optic atrophy, hemicrania, and disorders affecting the cranial nerves.


Navarakkizhi is a special Kerala Ayurvedic therapy in which warm boluses of cooked Navara rice, prepared with milk and herbal decoction, are used to massage and foment the body. This nourishing treatment helps strengthen muscles, improve circulation, and rejuvenate the body. Performed in different body positions, it provides deep relaxation and supports tissue healing. Navarakkizhi is highly beneficial for neurological disorders, arthritis, rheumatism, joint problems, and muscular weakness.
This Ayurvedic therapy involves the application of warm medicated oil along with herbal leaves or herbal powders over the body to reduce pain and inflammation. The treatment is usually performed for about 45 minutes daily for one to two weeks. It is highly beneficial for arthritis, spondylosis, back pain, muscular stiffness, sports injuries, and other soft tissue inflammations. The therapy helps improve circulation, relax muscles, and strengthen the joints and spine.


Kativasti is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy in which lukewarm medicated oil is retained on the head using a special cap for a specific duration over several days. This treatment deeply nourishes the nervous system and is highly effective for Vata-related disorders. It helps relieve severe headaches, facial paralysis, dryness of the nose and throat, burning sensation of the head, and cranial nerve disorders. Shirovasthi is also beneficial for neuralgia, deafness, optic atrophy, and hemicrania while promoting deep relaxation and balance.
This Ayurvedic steam therapy begins with a gentle application of warm herbal oil over the body, followed by herbal steam treatment inside a special steam chamber while keeping the head outside. The medicated steam promotes sweating, opens the skin pores, and helps eliminate toxins from the body. It also balances the three Doshas and improves circulation and skin health. This therapy is highly beneficial for detoxification, relaxation, skin toning, and providing a natural healthy glow.


Takra means buttermilk and Dhara means pouring. This therapy calms the individual down by using medicated buttermilk, which is poured onto the forehead to relieve insomnia, depression and other stress related problems. This prevents graying of the hair, reduces headaches, increases digestive power and alleviates anorexia. In cases of psoriasis, Dhara is performed on the affected area to have a curative effect.
A mixture specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured over the chest and retained inside an herbal paste boundary for 30 to 45 minutes. The healing properties of herbal oils used for this massage enriches the blood and builds and maintains strong muscle and connective tissues.


Specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured over the neck and retained inside the black gram paste boundary for the required duration. The healing properties of herbal oils used for this therapy deeply cleans and enriches the blood, builds and maintains strong muscle and connective tissues and lubricates the joints keeping them flexible and pain free.
This is a special treatment in which warm medicated oil is retained over the knee joint. This treatment is very effective in treating different conditions of the knee joints like arthritis, degenerative conditions etc.


A special treatment in which the eyes are bathed in pure medicated cow’s ghee. This procedure takes 15 minutes.
This is a specialized herbal treatment for weight reduction. A herbal paste or powder is applied all over the body and deeply massaged with specific movements by two therapists for one hour.


A herbal paste is applied to the entire head for 45 minutes.
A thick layer of cotton wool soaked with warm medicated oil is applied over the affected area. The oil is recycled periodically to make it warm. This therapy is very effective for degenerative and painful problems like Back pain, Osteo-arthritis, Spondylitis, injuries, etc. Medicated oil is applied to the head for 45 minutes in a special manner.


A soothing massage of the head, neck & shoulder for 15 minutes using warm herbal oils.
This is the application of herbal paste externally over the affected area. The herbal powder and the medium to make the paste are selected as per the condition.
